How Haven Health Started
Haven Health was created from Dr. Daniel Ruttle’s vision of building a true medical home where patients could access comprehensive, relationship driven care under one roof. His goal was to create a practice that combined strong clinical care with genuine hospitality, offering patients a more connected experience supported by a wide range of services designed to care for the whole person.
After practicing rural family medicine for several years, Dr. Ruttle developed a deep appreciation for the concept of a medical home, where continuity of care and accessibility to multiple services played a central role in supporting patients long term. As he transitioned into practicing in Calgary, his growing experience and advanced training in functional and integrative medicine shaped a more comprehensive approach to care that focused on understanding root causes rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
Today, Haven Health blends the attentiveness and continuity of rural medicine with the deeper, integrative lens of functional medicine to support long term wellness, prevention, and personalized care. Haven Health proudly carries forward the foundation built by Dr. Daniel Botha, founder of Rhythm Health and Dynamic Health Studio, who served the Calgary community for over 30 years.
